Emil Krein was born August 20, 1908 at Antelope, ND, the son of Jacob and Sophia (Wiege) Krein. He was raised and educated in the Antelope area. Emil farmed with his parents while his brothers, Henry and Ted were in the military. He then farmed with his brother Henry until the early 1960’s when he moved to Hebron to care for his ailing father. During this time Emil traveled the countryside selling Rawleigh products. He enjoyed this very much because of the new friendships he gained along the way.

Emil loved to go fishing with his brothers and also did some hunting and trapping with them. Emil made Hebron his home until he entered the Richardton Health Center in 2001. He was treated like family by the staff and received excellent care while a resident there.

Emil was a gentle, kind and loving man with a great sense of humor.

Emil is survived by his nieces, Alma (Leonard) Heid, New Salem, ND, Judy Johnk, Jamestown, ND, and Patti Conlon, Dickinson; his nephews, Tom (Judy) Creviston, Franktown, CO, Frank (Dianne) Conlon, Jamestown, and Tim Creviston, Scottsdale, AZ, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry and Ted; and two sisters, Anna Conlon and Adeline Creviston.
