Eric Davis, 53, New England, died very unexpectedly of a massive coronary embolism on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. A Celebration of Life Service for Eric will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and will continue on Monday from 8 a.m. to service time at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Eric was born July 9, 1962 at Long Beach, Calif., the son of Larry and Anne (Davidson) Davis. He was raised and educated in Bend, Ore., and following graduation from high school he went on to attend Linn-Benton Community College where he received a degree in Culinary Arts.

He was united in marriage to Ann Bushnell on October 18, 1986 at Bend, Ore., and to this union two daughters were born, Amanda and Nicole.

Eric moved to Williston in 2011 to work in the oil field. In April 2013 he met Gwen Davis and on August 9, 2014 they were married in Red Lodge, Mont. He was truly in love with Gwen and treated her like a queen.

They made their home in New England, and he went to work for SW Grain. He was an avid Star Wars enthusiast, a fabulous cook, loved to play the guitar, and to travel and spend time with Gwen.

Eric is survived by his wife, Gwen; his daughters, Amanda (Gerald) Patton, Minot, and Nicole (Keane) Purdy, Salem, Ore.; granddaughter due this weekend, Kennedy Marie Purdy; step-son, Josh Rice, Diamond Bar, Calif.; step-mother, Lee Davis, Prineville, Ore.; and three sisters, Rommie (Dave) Kiepert, Sunriver, Ore., Renee (Peter) Weinell, Munich, Germany, and Chiana Davis, Bend, Ore. He was preceded in death by his parents.
