Eric “Fritz” Torstenson, 50, Gladstone, ND died suddenly on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in Gladstone. Funeral services for Eric will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. Tim Voth officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Eric Torstenson was born December 8, 1956 at Minot, ND to Joel and Mary (Emerick) Torstenson. Fritz moved with his family to Dickinson in 1959 and then to Gladstone in 1961. After graduating from Dickinson High School he began working in the oil fields until the early 1980’s at which he began a career in construction.
Fritz enjoyed assembling model cars as well as working on the “real ones”, he also enjoyed fishing and time with his family was very dear to him. Time with his nieces and nephews was cherished.
Fritz is survived by his mother, two brothers, Gene, Dickinson and Tom (Connie), Gladstone, one sister-in-law, Judy Torstenson, Dickinson, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad , his step-father, Oscar Bratberg and one brother, Joel.
