Estelle Lundgren, 90, Dickinson, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Benedict’s Health Center with family at her side. Estelle’s Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Pastor Lisa Lewton officiating. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Estelle Wright was born August 1, 1927 at Grano, N.D., the daughter of Robert and Josephine (Book) Wright. She was raised and educated in the Grano area, having attended country school.
Estelle was united in marriage to Elmond R. “Al” Lundgren on November 5, 1946 at Wolf Point, Mont. They made their home in Mohall where they owned and operated Lundgren Construction and the Mohall Ready Mix. In 2000, Al and Estelle moved to Dickinson.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall, and was very active with Al in the Amateur Trapshooting Association. She enjoyed attending trap shooting events, gardening and baking pies. Together with Al, she was proud to have helped start the Mohall Gun Club, and re-open the Dickinson Gun Club in 2000.
Estelle is survived by her daughter, Sharon Hutton, Dickinson; five grandchildren, Kris (Kevin Kuntz) Hastings, Scott (Dina) Roberts, Shane Roberts, Craig (Lynn) Hastings, and Patti (Scott Iverson) Kuntz; four great-grandchildren, Caden Roberts, Devany Roberts, Aaron Kuntz, and Jordan Kuntz; one sister, Bernadine Heily, Minot, and special friend Don Schnaidt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Al on April 26, 2012; daughter, Shelby Hutton, December 31, 2013; her siblings, Ronald, Byron, Tharley, Helen, and Cecelia.
