Eva Glick, 88, Dickinson, ND, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at the St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Eva’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 2, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Dennis Schafer as the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m., Deacon Al Schwindt presiding.
Eva Lampl was born December 26, 1919 on the family farm in Hettinger County of North Dakota, the daughter of Karl and Catherine (Fischer) Lampl. She was raised in the Lefor area, educated through the 8th Grade and then came to Dickinson and attended the National Youth Association School.
Eva married Henry Glick on July 14, 1941 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Lefor. They resided in Dickinson where she worked as a cook at Don’s Café and then as a laundry supervisor at the St. Luke’s Home.
Eva belonged to the St. Ann’s Altar Society, the St. Anthony Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Happy Time Band and the RSVP Singers. She loved volunteering with the RSVP.
Eva is survived by her four children, Charles (Villa) Glick, Logan, Ohio, Hank (Barb) Glick, Dickinson, Doris (Richard) Stowe, Auburn, Kan., and Linda Nayes, Fargo; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on July 2, 1962; her parents; two brothers; and six sisters.
