Eva Semerad, 92, Dickinson, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Eva’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2025 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Inurnment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.

Eva Privratsky was born on November 30, 1932 on the family farm in Stark County, the daughter of John S. and Caroline (Pavlicek) Privratsky. She was raised and educated north of Dickinson.

Eva was united in marriage to George Semerad on June 12, 1951. Following their marriage, they worked the family farm.  She worked for Baker Boy from 1960 until she retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and sewing. She especially loved spending time with her cockatiel, Joey and her cat, Snowball.

Eva is survived by her children, Ronald (Karen) Semerad, Bismarck, Jayne Buzalsky, Mandan, and Laura Sticka, Dickinson; grandchildren, Sheena Strand, Keith Semerad, Tanya Buzalsky, Wendy Sticka, Kevin Semerad, Brandy Sticka, Kurt Semerad, and Andy Sticka; great-grandchildren, Mercede, Barrett, Vanessa, Ellie, Carter, Dylan, Joshua, Tyler, Samantha, Lindsay, Lily, and Eric; great-great-grandchildren, Elias, Javi, Leah, and Nathan; sisters-in-law, Mary and Marjorie Privratsky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, on August 25, 2016; her parents; her in-laws, Anna and Theodore Semerad; siblings, Caroline Wanner, Betty Privratsky, Lillian Privratksy, August Privratsky, Adam Privratsky, John Privratsky, Joe Privratsky, and two in infancy; son-in-law, David Buzalsky; sister-in-law, Shirley Privratsky; grandson, David Buzalsky, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Khloe Semerad; and one great-great-granddaughter.
