Florentine Boehm, 89, Dickinson, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Evergreen. Florentine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, November 23, 2018 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Msgr. Thomas Richter as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with Mr. Robert Bohn presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Florentine Melchior was born March 27, 1929 in Richardton, daughter of Mike and Cecilia (Bindels) Melchior Sr. She was raised and educated in the Richardton area, having attended country grade school and St. Mary’s High School.

Florentine married Michael “Mike” J. Boehm on January 7, 1947 in Richardton. They owned and operated their farm southeast of Richardton until 1986 when they retired and moved into Dickinson.

She was a past member of the Antelope Homemakers Club and lifetime member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and visiting with friends. Florentine also enjoyed old time music, dancing, cooking, baking, gardening and making noodles for friends and family.

Florentine is survived by her children, Douglas Boehm, Bismarck, Judy (Ron) Frederick, Richardton, Bev Bleth, Dickinson and Jolene (Lucas) Hoff, Richardton; daughter-in-law, Chantra Boehm, Bismarck; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; her sister, Della (Bill) Forster, Bismarck; sister-in-law, Gladys Melchior, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, on October 10, 2001; her son, Duane Boehm, on June 29, 2014; four brothers; two sisters; and twin infant brothers.
