Frank W. Steckler, 38, Centennial, Colo., died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at his home of a heart related condition. Frank’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Military honors will follow the mass and be provided by the Dickinson Honors Team. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with a vigil at 6 p.m., with Deacon Ron Keller presiding. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Frank W. was born on December 7, 1971 at Albany, Ore., he is the son of David and Edith (Trinka) Steckler. He lived in Albany, Crescent City, Calif., Tacoma, Wash., Panama Canal Zone, North Dakota and Colorado. Frank graduated from Simla High School in Simla, Colo., in 1990. He entered the United States Air Force. Following his discharge from the Air Force he mainly worked in construction and some retail. In 2004 Frank graduated with a degree in Auto Cad (Computer Architectural Design), and he was employed with William Caruso and Associates, Inc. for the past seven years.

Frank enjoyed fishing and hiking. He was a very generous person and helped out anyone in need. He loved his family and spent as much time as he could with them. Frank will be greatly missed.

Frank is survived by his parents, David and Edith Steckler, Dickinson; three siblings, Dee Ann Steckler-Lemer, Richardton, Tina Steckler-Rosler (David Cullyford), Limon, Colo., and David M. Steckler, Dickinson; his grandmother, Ruby Standridge, Grants Pass, Ore.; his birth father, Bill Standridge, North Carolina; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his uncle, Edward Trinka.
