Freda Brandner was born August 17, 1921 on the family farm in Hettinger County near New England, the daughter of John and Katie (Stradinger) Brandner. She was raised and educated in Wagendorf Township southeast of New England.
Freda has lived and worked in the New England area her entire life, except for a short time period that she was in Dickinson. While in New England she worked as a house keeper for others and over the past several years had also taken care of the cleaning responsibilities at her church. While in Dickinson she also worked in house keeping for a local motel. Freda became a resident of the Evergreen in 2001.
Freda was a very devoted church member, she loved to take care of indoor plants and flowers. Listening to old time music, working jigsaw puzzles and collecting cat figurines and knick-knacks brought her great enjoyment.
Freda is survived by her three sisters, Edna Jorstad, New England, Adeline Bender, New England, and Lila Stenmoen, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister in infancy; her sister, Ida Strom; her brothers-in-law; and one nephew.
