Freda Gruebele, 94, Dickinson, died on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Richardton Health Center, Richardton. Freda’s Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Immanuel Church, Taylor with Pastor Chuck Loftis officiating. Interment will take place at Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Freda Ruff daughter of Christian and Mathilda (Kallis) Ruff was born November 9, 1928 in Burt.
Freda married Edward Gruebele on October 12, 1947 at Ebenzer Baptist Church in New Leipzig. Together they farmed and raised their family south of Burt. In 1967 Edward and Freda moved to New England where they remained till 1983, when they then moved to Dickinson.
Freda enjoyed bowling, baking, quilting, gardening, and serving her Lord. She was a member of Immanuel Church in Taylor.
Freda is survived by her daughter: Jocelyn (Darrold) Bertsch, Beulah; two sons: Joel Gruebele, Beulah and Jeff (Darla) Gruebele, Hemet, CA; grandchildren: Matthew Bertsch, Marana, AZ, Lauren Gruebele, Fargo, Nikki (Mike) Broyles, Murrieta, CA, Heather (Mike) Bonilla, Sacramento, CA, Cody (Shelby) Gruebele, Corona, CA, and Ryan (fiancé Bethany Gibson) Gruebele, Oklahoma City, OK; great-grandchildren, Avery Kady, Kaleb, Noah, and Jaxon Broyles, Dean and Clark Gruebele; and sister, Martha Graham, Dickinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; brothers: Otto Kallis and Christ Ruff; sisters: Ella Pettis, Anna Tranby, and Esther Colebank.
