Frieda Bieber was born April 30, 1924 to John and Elizabeth (Denke) Bieber on the family farm near Zap. Frieda married Einer Conradsen on April 8, 1943 at Glendive, Mont. Together they farmed in the Yellowstone Valley near Sidney, Mont. and raised their four children. Frieda worked for a few years as a housekeeper at the Sidney Community Hospital and as a kitchen aide at Richland Homes, Sidney. She hated driving in the winter, so her working outside the home went by the wayside. In her spare time, Frieda enjoyed embroidery and reading short stories.
Frieda and Einer moved to Glendive in the fall of 2000 to be closer to their daughter Sharon and son Cliff. Einer’s health failed due to cancer and he passed away June 19, 2001. Frieda continued to live in Glendive only a half block east of Cliff and a half block west of Sharon. In April 2014, Frieda moved to Dickinson where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Stewart Brodhead. Stewart became her primary care giver. They went for walks daily and visited with the neighbors until Frieda’s strength started to fail at which time she moved into St. Benedict’s Health Center in December 2014.
