Frieda Louise Larson, 99, formerly of Colorado, died Saturday, September 5, 2020 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Frieda’s Mass of Christian Burial will at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. William Ruelle as celebrant. Entombment will take place in Lakewood, Colorado. Visitation will be on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Frieda Louise Wegner was born July 10, 1921 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Rickley) Wegner. She was raised and educated in Colorado and received her teaching degree.
Frieda was united in marriage to Chester Larson on June 1, 1947 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Denver. Frieda taught for over 40 years at Fairmont Elementary.
She belonged to the Swiss Club and Pinochle Club. Frieda enjoyed playing cards, cooking, gardening, growing roses with her husband Chester and she was an accomplished bridge player.
Frieda is survived by her daughter, Sharon Jacobsen; two granddaughters, Kristina (Ken) Molitor and Kimberly Jacobsen; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, in 1996; son-in-law, Kermit Jacobsen; and an infant granddaughter.
