Gabriel Franklin Rodakowski was born December 28, 1998 in Cheyenne, Wyo., the son of Luke C. and Sheri (Hutzenbiler) Rodakowski. In his early years Gabe was educated in Wannaska, Minn. and continued his education in the Bowman/ Rhame area.
He was a very hard worker. He loved sleeping in, but when he got rolling, he worked hard. Gabe worked on Grandpa Dave’s Ranch each summer starting as an eighth grader, haying and fencing were his favorite. He was always available to help Grandpa Dan out as well, as he loved to be with cows. In 2014, he moved to Fairfield where he enjoyed hunting, fencing and raising his cows. He graduated with honors from Belfield High School in 2017. During this time he really enjoyed participating in football. He went on to attend Bismarck State College where he earned a certificate in the Welding Program.
Gabe’s mom was the light of his life, the years they shared together gave him special joy. He was always a concerned big brother and had a special place in his heart for his siblings. Gabe was a loyal friend and spending time with his buddies was important to him. There were always wrestling matches with his brothers, sister and cousins at family gatherings, which would make the house boom with laughter.
Gabe worked in the oilfield as a welder, most recently working at James Oilwell Service. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, horseback riding, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Gabe is survived by his dad, Luke, Rhame; his siblings, Samuel, Andrea and Nicholas Rodakowski, all of Rhame; grandparents, Dan and Susan Hutzenbiler, Belfield, David and Karen Rodakowski, Fairfield, and Teresa Bolke, Dickinson; great-grandparents, Dwaine Bolke and Lydia Boltz; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
We will forever miss Gabe always picking on us and his contagious laughter. His big smile will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheri; and great-grandparents.
