Gerald “Jerry” Wolberg, 74, Dickinson, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at CHI St. Alexius Bismarck. Services will be held at a later date.
Gerald “Jerry” M. Wolberg was born September 27, 1950, in Dickinson, to Joseph V. and Mildred (Kralicek) Wolberg. He attended schools in Dickinson and NDSF in Bottineau. Returning to Dickinson he worked as an engineer for the Northern Pacific Railroad for ten years, then changed his career focus to flying. After achieving several flying certificates, he started a charter business and flew as co-pilot with MDU, moving on to being the pilot for Fisher Industries, then flying for Northern Improvement until retirement.
While working on the railroad Jerry moved back to the family farm. He met Estelle Myren, and they were married in June 1979 in Helena, Montana. Jerry loved the family farm and enjoyed doing part-time farming, restoring the yard and buildings. He belonged to the Amateur Radio/Ham Radio Club, and the Rescue Flying Club. Jerry also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and helping others when he saw the need.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Estelle, Dickinson; sister, Donna (Robert) King, of Bismarck; and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Eugene (Rena) Wolberg.
