Glen C. Scott, 67, Manning, died peacefully Easter morning, Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Hill Top Home of Comfort, Killdeer. Glen’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, Killdeer, with Rev. Dorothy Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Manning Community Cemetery, with Pastor Ray Druckenmiller presiding. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m., Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service with Pastor Ray Druckenmiller presiding.

Glen C. Scott was born May 29, 1949 in Dickinson to Frank and Irene (Weber) Scott. He was raised on a farm west of Manning, where he currently lives. He graduated from Killdeer High School in 1967. In 1969, he graduated from NDSCS Mechanical School, Wahpeton and from the Bottineau School of Forestry in 1970. Glen married Carla Nelson at the Normanna Lutheran Church in Dunn Center on December 1, 1971. They had three children, Kyle, Kim and Glenda.

He worked at Idaho Forest Services for five years, Dickinson Ready Mix for two years, Cenex Farmer Union Killdeer for seven years, Koch Services of Killdeer for 18 years, operated Scott’s Meat Processing for 17 years and Knife River Trading Post of Manning for five years. Glen also barbecued and catered for 20 years for numerous celebrations, auction sales, graduations, weddings, funerals, anniversaries, class reunions and much more.

He was a member of the Killdeer Fireman’s for 15 years, Killdeer Ambulance for 12 years, Manning Community Center and the Killdeer Community Band. Glen had many hobbies to include, cooking, barbequing, gun dealer and collector, coin collector, hunting, fishing, playing tuba, spending time at his cabin at Lake Tschida, boating, gardening, canning, and spending time with his children, grand-children and friends.

Glen is survived by his wife, Carla, Manning; children, Kyle (Denyse) Scott, Sun Valley Lake, Iowa, Kim (Kenny) Biffert, Fargo, Glenda (Neil) Feist, Morris, Minn.; grandchildren, Jonathan Scott, Miquela Scott, Rebecca Biffert, Patrick Feist, Jacob Feist; three step grandchildren, Clint (Teela) Waugh, Clay (Ashley) Waugh and Miranda Waugh; sisters, Jane Scott, Dickinson, Coradavee Welsch, Billing, Mont., and Donna (Richard) Jensen, Hazen.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his ten year old brother, Roland Scott.
