Glen Richard Kadrmas, 67, Fort Mohave, Ariz., formerly Belfield, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Bullhead City, Ariz. Glen’s Service of Remembrance will be 2 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at Belfield Lutheran Church with Rev. Roger Dieterle officiating. Interment will follow at Belfield Lutheran Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Belfield American Legion William C. Blair Post 144. Visitation will be Thursday, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.

Glen was born March 31, 1950 to Alfred and Katherine (Stekar) Kadrmas. He was raised on a dairy farm near Fairfield with his two sisters, Carol and Sherry. Glen attended Snow school near the family farm and graduated from Belfield High School in 1968. He attended and graduated from the National College of Business in Rapid City, S.D. He returned to North Dakota and enlisted in the North Dakota National Guard.

Glen was united in marriage to Susan Downing of Ludlow, S.D. on October 4, 1969. Together they had two daughters, Wendy and Dena.

Glen worked at First National Bank in Belfield. He started his own insurance agency, “Badlands Insurance Agency” until the oil boom in the 1980’s when he started working for Bob’s Oilfield Service. He later worked as an independent oilfield contract pumper, “Black Gold Pumping Services”. During most of his years, Glen also farmed. He completely retired in 2013.

Following retirement, Glen and Sue moved to Fort Mohave for the winters. He enjoyed having time to do his woodworking. He also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.

Glen is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sue; his daughters, Wendy (Jared) Kessel, Belfield, and Dena (Brad) Sand, Mandan; his grandchildren, Brandon Kessel, Marmath, Chantel, Jarrett, Shane, and Derek Kessel, Belfield, and Lauren Sand, Mandan; his mother, Katherine Kadrmas, Dickinson; sister, Sherry Kadrmas, Dallas, Texas; and brother-in-law, Russell MacDonald, Richmond Hill, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Kadrmas; and sister, Carol MacDonald.
