Harley Schepp, 84, Dickinson, died Monday, September 10, 2018 with family by his side at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Harley’s Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Wolters officiating. Interment will take place at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Military Honors will be provided by the Dickinson American Legion Post 3 Honor Guard. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Harley was born September 15, 1933 to Albert and Emma (Ammon) Schepp at Anamoose. He served Honorably in the United States Army from June 1957 to March 1959. Harley taught High School at Mayville, N.D. and Oslo, Minn. While selling World Book Encyclopedia, Harley moved to Dickinson with his wife, Marlow and son, Steve. In 1980, he started as a salesman at KLTC and KDIX radios until his retirement.

On October 2, 1982, Harley was united in marriage to Vicki at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dickinson.

He was a member of the Southwest Anglers Fishing Club and Slope Area Rifle and Gun Club. Harley was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he served as secretary for many years. He was a high school basketball coach while teaching. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his brothers and sons.

Harley is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, Steve Schepp, Bottineau, and Scott (Audrey) Holtslander, Omaha. Neb.; daughter, Laura (Brian) Ficek, Bismarck; step-children, Tommy (Joyce) Cole, Swartz Creek, Mich., Lonney (Dee) Cole, Flint, Mich., Wayne (Rhonda) Cole, Flint, and Kim Cole, Cleveland, Ga.; grandchildren, Gage, Phillip, Amanda, Andrew, and Ashley; nine step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, Kinsley; his brothers, Duane (Ann) Schepp, David (Bev) Schepp, Ronald (Joanne) Schepp and Roland (Julie) Schepp.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elaine Peterson; and step-daughter, Dawn Karageorgos.
