Hattie Dvorak, 95, Dickinson, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 surrounded by family at Richardton Health Center, Richardton. Hattie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Jordan Dosch as celebrant. Inurnment will take place at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Bob Zent presiding.

Hattie Trinka, daughter of John and Christine (Kralicek) Trinka, was born April 14, 1922 in Dickinson. She grew up on a farm north of Dickinson. Hattie married Alfred Dvorak June 16, 1943. They farmed north of Gladstone and in 1954 moved to Springfield, Ore. In Oregon, Hattie worked at a motel in housekeeping and owned a diner before moving back to Dickinson in July 1962. Hattie spent most of her working life in the food services field. She spent 17 years at Woolworth’s working at the lunch counter, about five years at Trinity High School kitchen as a cook, owned a café with Alfred in Killdeer for about four years, owned the Husky House Café in Dickinson with Mary Privratsky for over 12 years. Hattie also worked at the lunch counter at Western Livestock during sale days for a time. After selling her home she moved to the Pioneer Haven Community in Dickinson. While living there she took care of the activities and lunch program at Pioneer Haven Community Center for a number of years.

Hattie, over the years enjoyed music, dancing, bingo, card games, cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed taking many trips over the years with friends, spending several winters at her sons in Apache Junction, Ariz.

Hattie is survived by her sons, David (Nancy), West Fargo, Al (Betty) Des Moines, Iowa, and Ken, Chubbuck, Idaho; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; her parents; her sisters and brothers.
