Heather was born July 1, 1986 with a rare case of Muscular Dystrophy, causing weakness in all of her muscles. Throughout her life’s journey, she remained positive, facing the challenges her health presented with courage. Proving Doctors wrong, she learned how to walk, went on to graduate from high school, sang in the school choir, received many fine arts awards and was recognized by the Guidepost magazine for a short story of her life. In her 20’s as her body weakened, she became a resident at the St. Luke’s Home. While there she wrote a monthly newsletter for the residents, learned how to paint and had a collection of her poems published. She looked forward to the many pets who came to visit, bringing her comfort and joy. Heather’s enduring love for God carried her through her life’s journey.
