Irene C. Olheiser, 77, Dickinson, ND, died Sunday, January 6, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Irene’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 10, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Dennis Schafer as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Pius Cemetery, Schefield, ND. Irene’s visitation will be Wednesday, from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Ralph Stockert presiding.

Irene C. Reisenauer was born March 2, 1930 at Dickinson to George and Katherine (Olheiser) Reisenauer. Irene was raised on the family farm SE of Dickinson. She attended country school and St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Dickinson.

Irene married Ralph Olheiser at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on September 30, 1946. She and Ralph then moved to their own farm near Schefield where they farmed together until moving to Dickinson in 1951. Irene stayed busy at home caring for the children but later began a career as a housekeeper working for various businesses in Dickinson. Irene enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and playing bridge. She was a member of Christian Mothers and volunteered at Community Action.

Irene is survived by 12 children; Eugene (Mary), Ronald H. (Bonnie), Raymond (Leah), Daniel, Lynda (Raymond) Morel, Alice (Charles) Urlacher, Charllotte (Fred) Pilot, Ralph Jr. (Mary Jane), Irene Polly, Kevin, Darrell (Teresa Makowski) and George; 43 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Arnold (Rita), Philip (Mary Ann), Paul (Carol), and Jim; and two sisters, Clara Hanel and Rose Zentner.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, two grandsons, four great-grandsons, five brothers and one sister.
