Isabelle Forster, 89, Dickinson, formerly Richardton, died Thursday, December 5, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. Isabelle’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton with Fr. Thomas Wordekemper, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Leonard Krebs presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Isabelle R. Erhardt was born November 18, 1930 at Center, the daughter of John and Magdalena (Miller) Erhardt. She was raised and educated in Richardton.

Isabelle was united in marriage to Ferdinand “Ferd” Forster on June 4, 1951 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton. They farmed north of Richardton until 1958 when they moved to a farm southwest of Halliday. Together they farmed, ranched and raised their family. Retiring in 2001, Ferd and Isabelle returned to Richardton where they made their home until Ferd’s death on January 16, 2007. In 2007 Isabelle moved to Dickinson and made it her home.

She enjoyed baking, gardening, doing puzzles, sewing and crocheting, but especially visiting friends and spending time with her family.

Isabelle is survived by her five children, Judy (George) Pavlicek, Dickinson, Greg (Janel) Forster, Dickinson, Dorothy (Robert) Wurm, Breckenridge, Minn., Steve (Marlene) Forster, Dickinson, and Edward (Danette) Forster, Dickinson; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Angie Bolton, Ann (Dallas) Pasley, Lorraine Bosch, Alice Christianson, Marc (Joyce) Erhardt and Ed (Rosie) Erhardt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferd; parents; son, David L. Forster; two sisters, Agnes Phagen and Edna; two brothers, Ralph and Norman; and four brothers-in-law.
