James R. Learn, 85, Dickinson, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his home. Abiding by his wishes, a private family service will be held at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with military honors provided.
James “Jim” Robert Learn was born December 25, 1927, and was raised at Fordville. His twin brother, Delbert Learn, Bismarck, and he were very close throughout their lives. He served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948, last of the Great Generation. He was a 36 year employee of MDU.
Jim had a great retirement with his family in the country raising pheasants (a lot of pheasants!), cattle, dogs, cats, horses, ducks, and a garden. A good husband, good father, a good man. He will be dearly missed but will always be with us in our hearts and our many fond memories. God bless…Jim Learn
