Jamie “Dolly” Dolechek, 43, Dickinson, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. Jamie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Keith Streifel as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with Deacon Dallas Carlson presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Jamie Allen Dolechek was born May 8, 1974, son of George and Rose Mary (Stockert) Dolechek in Dickinson. He grew up on the family farm south of Dickinson and was educated in Dickinson. Following graduation from Dickinson High School he went on to attend college for graphic design. Jamie worked various jobs over the years as a heavy equipment operator.

He enjoyed being with family and friends, playing cards, especially pinochle and poker, collecting coins, watching movies, and listening to music. Jamie also found great joy in taking care of his friend’s dog “Jack”. Prior to his accident in 2006, Jamie would take trips to South Dakota to see motorcycles and go snowmobiling. He also loved to work on cars.

Jamie is survived by his siblings, Jeffery (Therese) Dolechek, Georgianne (Elmer) Krebs, Jr., Laurie Sundquist, Larry (Barbie) Dolechek, and Valerie (Harlow Frogness) Dolechek; and nieces and nephews, Lisa Dolechek, Jessica (Keasaw) Vassell, Carl Krebs, Mary (Matt) Dauksavage, Robin (Matt) Mortensen, Kristina Sundquist, Donavon (Allison) Sundquist, Ethan Dolechek, Darin Dolechek, Sylvi Frogness, Soren Frogness, Derek (Katie) Dolechek, Rene Dolechek and Bridget Dolechek.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose Mary; brothers, Jerry, Gary and Terry; grandparents, Adam and Marianne Stockert, and Valentine and Anna Dolechek.
