Janet made a profession of faith in Christ and at the time of her passing was a member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, where she attended as long as her health allowed. She was also active in many of the women’s groups at the church. The fellowship she shared with her church family was precious to her.

After graduating from high school, Janet went to the Gale Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she took several courses.

Janet was a people person and made friends easily. She was a representative for Home Interiors and thoroughly enjoyed hosting parties for friends and family.

She is survived by two brothers, Michael E. Kasian and his wife Connie, and Allan Kasian; one sister, Mary B. Hughes and her husband Roger; one brother-in-law, Duane Thoreson; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; church family and friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Julie Thoreson.

Janet was a wonderful person with a great zest for life. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will treasure every memory they shared together. She will be greatly missed.
