Janet Sickler, 88, Dickinson, died Friday, September 4, 2020 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. There will be a private family Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. William Ruelle as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Janet Rohr was born June 10, 1932, to Anton and Ann (Herr) Rohr on a farm north of Gladstone. She was raised and educated in the Gladstone area, having attended farm school and Gladstone High School.

Janet was united in marriage to Frank J. Sickler on September 26, 1950 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Gladstone. Together they farmed and ranched, raising their children on the farm north of Dickinson. They moved into Dickinson in 1994. She enjoyed old time and Country Western music, oil painting, puzzles, gardening, and flowers. She also enjoyed embroidering dish towels, pickling cucumbers, making choke cherry jelly and making and baking cookies. She truly cherished the visits and gatherings of family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her children, Sharon (Ray) Wanner, Dickinson, Sandy (Steve) Meyer, Watford City, John (Karen) Sickler, Gladstone, Renee (Brian) Hoffman, Sevierville, Ten., and Ronda (Brian Page) Brenneise, Westminster, Colo.; 11 grandchildren, Brian (Tyra) Wanner, Brenda (special friend-Sean Everett) Wanner, Brent (Audrey) Meyer, Jeff (Sandra) Meyer, Jason (Nicole) Sickler, Justin (Linsey) Sickler, Megan (Justin) Berger, Tyler (Meridith) Hoffman, Jared (Kaitlin) Hoffman, Chad (Kim) Brenneise and Nicole (Chase) Larson; 15 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Richard Rohr, Dickinson and Charlene Frank, Glendive, Mont.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on October 28, 2011; her parents; siblings, Lena Martin, Ann Hollinger, Victor Rohr, Alvina Messmer, Margaret Martin, Sue Meissner, Viola Sickler, and Christine Messmer.
