Janice Henning, 90, Dickinson, died Monday, May 14, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. There will be a Gathering of Family of Friends on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service followed by Graveside Services at Dickinson Cemetery, with Rev. Joe Natwick presiding.

Janice McBride was born March 28, 1928 in Dickinson, daughter of Morton and Emma (Lish) McBride. She was raised in educated in Dickinson and graduated from Dickinson High School. She went on to attend Dickinson State Teachers College and earned a degree in Social Studies education.

On July 2, 1960 she was united in marriage to Will Henning in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. During her life she taught in Williston High School, Glen Ullin High School and most recently the Adult Learning Center in Dickinson.

She enjoyed telling stories with her sister Nancy and her nieces and nephews to the point of tears from laughter. She belonged to the Delta Kappa Gamma (having served as state president at one point), Alpha Sigma Alpha Organization. She enjoyed reading, going to their lake cabin and listening to her great-grandkids read. She had such a love to help adult basic education students that she would bring them to her own home to educate them. She always made sure her granddaughter had anything she wished.

Janice is survived by her husband of 57 years, Will; two children, Nancy Henning and Daren Henning; one granddaughter, Amy Roadarmel; two great-grandchildren, Aspen and Tesher Roadarmel; one sister, Nancy (Harold) Krieg; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Carol and Audrey; and one brother, Morton.
