Janice Kelling,67, Dickinson, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 surrounded by her family at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Janice’s Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Lisa Lewton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Janice Stroh was born on Feb. 27, 1952, in Dickinson, one of thirteen children born to William Joseph and Elizabeth (Heiser) Stroh.

She graduated from Killdeer High School in 1970. She later attended Williston State College and held many service and management jobs over the years. She married Lyle Kelling on Dec. 30, 1971. They raised two children and later welcomed four grandchildren. They lived in a number of locations, including Williston, where they lived with their children, and moved to Dickinson in 2000. Janice had many family and friends. She touched many with her love and generosity.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Ervin and Aurora Kelling; brother, David Stroh; sister, Roxanne Horacek; and sister, Donna Kostelecky. She is survived by her husband, Lyle; daughter Nicole (Jeremy) Barnett, Mandan; son, Thad (Heather) Kelling, Kaysville, Utah; grandchildren, Ashlynn, Keira, Emery and Grady. She is also survived by siblings, Bill (Delores) Stroh, Phoenix, Ariz.; Chuck (Renae) Stroh Yuma, Ariz., Tim (Sandy) Stroh, Dickinson; Rocky (Kathy) Stroh, Willton, Calif.; Pat (Barb) Stroh, Franklin, Tenn.; Toby (Peggy) Stroh, Dickinson; Myron Stroh, Missoula, Mont.; Zonia (Mark) Schuman, Wilton, Calif.; and Pam (Jim) Steckler, Dickinson; sister-in-law, Dee Stroh, Dickinson; and brother-in-law, Don Kostelecky, Bozeman, Mont.
