Janice Mosbrucker, 84, Dickinson, died Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at St. Benedicts Health Center, Dickinson, ND. Janice’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Justin Waltz as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
Janice Schantz was born on July 9, 1939 in Glen Ullin, ND the daughter of George and Tecla (Anton) Schantz. Janice grew up in Glen Ullin, and graduated from Glen Ullin High School.
Janice was united in marriage to Nick Mosbrucker on July 10, 1957 in Glen Ullin. They made their home in Dickinson and to this union three children were born. She worked as the Stark County Deputy Auditor for many years, moved into banking, and later became owner of her own real estate company. Throughout her careers, she somehow found time to always manage the administrative side of the Mosbrucker Masonry family run business.
She belonged to the ND Home Builders Association, was a board member of St. Joseph’s Hospital, member of Toast Masters, and a past president of Trinity School Board. She actively bowled on a league for many years. Janice loved to garden, cook, spend time with family at the lake, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her children, Barry (Becky) Mosbrucker, Minneapolis, MN, Lois (John) Mueller, Dickinson, and Bruce (Robbin) Mosbrucker, Hillsboro, OR; four grandchildren, Nathan (Melissa) Mosbrucker, Samantha Mosbrucker, Jenna Mueller and Jill Mueller; siblings, Patsy Glasser, Donald Schantz, Ernie Schantz, George (Joanne) Schantz, Joanne (Stanley) Heinemeyer, Bonnie Nelson, Carolyn (Jim) Opp, and Nick Schantz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; her parents; siblings and their spouses, Eugene (Irene) Schantz, Mike Glasser, Polly Schantz, Mary Schantz, Richard (Loretta) Schantz, Mary Sue Schantz, Dale Nelson, Jerome (Susan) Schantz.
