Jason Wallace, 39, Dickinson, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 21, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. Jason’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2023 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Chaplain Joe Stefalo officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Bowbells Cemetery at a later date.
Jason Mathew Wallace was born on September 7, 1983 in Minot, the son of David M. and Susanne (Barnes) Wallace Sr. He was raised and educated in Dickinson, having attended Lincoln Elementary and graduating with the Dickinson High Class of 2002. He went on to attend the ND Law Enforcement Academy and also had received an Associate Degree from Dickinson State University.
Jason worked as a sales associate at Kmart, travel agent for Rosenbluth prior to beginning his career in law enforcement. He began as an emergency dispatcher for the City of Dickinson, moving on to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and eventually becoming a patrol officer and Sergeant for the Dickinson Police Department. Jason married Lauren Asheim on April 12, 2019 in Dickinson.
He belonged to the Eagles Club, Dickinson Police Association, Fraternal Order of Police, Southwest Crime Conference, and the T-shirt of the Month Club. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, was an avid Miami Dolphins Fan, and Superhero collector.
Jason is survived by Lauren Asheim; his parents, Dave and Sue, Dickinson; sister, Cori Wallace, Dickinson; brother, David “DJ” (Tiffany) Wallace Jr., Dickinson; niece, Rylee Wallace; nephews, Brody Wallace and Tyler Wallace; father and mother-in-law, Dale and Soo Asheim; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his brothers and sisters in Blue.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dennis and Gladys Barnes and Thomas and Dorothy Wallace.
