Jeannette A. Hausauer was born March 13, 1938 at McClusky, the daughter of Emil and Margaret (Waltz) Hausauer. She was the 6th child born out of nine, and the first daughter. She was a true tomboy, and loved working in the fields rather than in the house cooking.
Jeannette graduated from McClusky High School in 1956. On October 17, 1959 she was united in marriage to the only man she truly loved, William Hausauer. To this union there were three children born, Debra, Kevin and Jeri.
In her early years she loved fishing, camping and having a beer or two. Jeannette enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle and working on crossword puzzles. She loved her pets, was an excellent cook of German foods, and cherished time spent with her family. They often would request certain of her specialty foods when they would get together. She belonged to the German-Hungarian Club, St. Anthony Club, and the Elks.
Jeannette is survived by her three children, Debra (Patrick) Frank, Dickinson, Kevin (Barbara) Hausauer, Mandan, and Jeri (fiance-Keith Barnett) Hausauer, Dickinson; three grandsons, Justin (Kristin Cadman) Hausauer, Pittsburgh, Penn., Nathan Hausauer and Braden Hausauer, Mandan; step-grandson, Zachary Barnett, Newell, S.D.; three brothers, Raymond (Roberta) Hausauer, Rhode Island, Richard (Eunice) Hausauer, Max; and Donnie (Vernia) Hausauer, McClusky; one sister, Carol (Delmer) Reiser, McClusky; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William on October 29, 1991; her parents; four brothers, Marvin, Herbert, Ronald and Wayne Hausauer; and one nephew, Clayton Reiser.
