Jeffrey T. Samson, 45, Richardton died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Jeff’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2009 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton with Fr. Boniface Muggli, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson and will continue at the church on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary and vigil at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
Jeffrey T. Samson was born March 22, 1964 in Dickinson the son of Thomas M. and Evelyn (Commes) Samson. He was raised and educated in the Richardton area where he graduated from Richardton High School in 1982. In 1986 a son, Shaun was born to he and Martina.
Through his high school years and until 1997, Jeff worked as a farm hand for the Messer family. In 1997 he went to work for the Dakota Gasification Plant in Beulah as a maintenance tech. On November 20, 1998 Jeff married Kim Bettis and they made their home in Richardton.
Jeff loved to go fishing, riding snowmobile, 4-wheeling, and their annual family trip. He enjoyed working on cars and has always held farming in a special place in his heart. His family was very important to him and he cherished all the times that he was able to spend with them.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Kim; his son, Shaun (Collette) Samson, Dickinson; stepson, Dereck Ehrmantrout, Dickinson; his dad, Thomas Samson, Richardton; and two special granddaughters, Makya and Aliyah Samson. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Evelyn.
