Jerry Faulhaber, 74, formerly of Dickinson, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks surrounded by family. Jerry’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. William Rulle as celebrant. Visitation will be form 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a rosary and vigil at 6 p.m. with Deacon Bob Zent presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Tuesday.

Jerry T. Faulhaber was born on Wednesday, March 23, 1949 in Dickinson to Joseph and Mathilda (Bosch) Faulhaber. He grew up in Dickinson and attended St. Patrick’s School. He owned Jerry’s Carpet and Upholstery until he became permanently disabled in 1986.

Jerry T. Faulhaber married Joanne (Weiler) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson on June 11, 1970. Joanne was the love of his life and his best friend. Together they had and raised five beautiful daughters; Michelle Lee, Jennifer Susan, Jolynn Marie, Marcia Jean and Rebecca Ann. Jerry’s wife and his daughters were the center of his world. That center grew with the birth of his four grandchildren: Austin Randall, Kaitlynn Mae, Camden Bradley and Corban Beckett. He was so proud of his family, and he cherished them dearly.

Jerry was a 47-year member of the Dickinson Eagles Club where he served many offices; President 1996-1997, Trustee (19 yrs), Chairman of the Board (6 yrs), Past Presidents’ Club (19 yrs), and Golden Eagle upon his death. He was very passionate about his service to the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was proud to be a member.

As much as he loved the Eagles Club, Jerry’s favorite thing to do was spend time with his family. He loved to dance, talk to anyone who would listen, and just be in the moment. Jerry loved sharing his advice, making jokes, and he gave the BEST hugs. He loved with his whole heart, and he’d give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed help. Jerry was a giving man and was always willing to offer his hospitality. You never went hungry after leaving Jerry’s house and we think some of his most famous words were “Did you get enough to eat?”. He will always be remembered for his kind heart and generous spirit.

Jerry is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Joanne Faulhaber; his daughters, Michelle (Tim) Hajicek, Jennifer (Randy) Fournier, Jolynn Faulhaber, and Rebecca (Bradley) Lucke; grandchildren, Austin Fournier, Kaitlynn Hajicek, Camden Lucke, and Corban Lucke, all of Grand Forks; brothers, Don (Susie) Faulhaber, Killeen, TX, Kelvin Faulhaber, Dickinson, Tom (Marie) Faulhaber, Dickinson, Dennis (Lorraine) Faulhaber, Dickinson, and Larry (Carol) Faulhaber, Dickinson; sister, Darlene (Rick) Hofer, Gladstone; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marcia Faulhaber; parents, Joseph and Mathilda Faulhaber; brother, Randy Faulhaber; sister-in-law, Kathy Faulhaber; and nephew, Tim Faulhaber.

I’ll just wait in Heaven
