Jerry Patrick Rebel was born May 18, 1959 to Joe and Louise (Reiter) Rebel. They lived on the family dairy farm just east of New England. He attended New England Public School and met the love of his life and his future wife, Mischelle, in 1977. They wed in 1979, while Jerry worked for Dvorak Motors in Dickinson and had three wonderful boys that kept him busy.

After Dvorak Motors, Jerry went into road construction and worked for Fisher’s Sand & Gravel, Badinger Sand & Gravel, and Hulstrand Construction. Through these companies, he worked across the amazing sceneries during the summer months. After many wonderful years on the road, Jerry’s feelings of country life, farming, animals (his favorite were cats) was too much to pass up so he chose to retire from construction.

Upon his return home, he was able to create a wonderful friendship that helped him return to the farm industry for some time, but also where his passion for helping others came alive. His passion for helping others led Jerry to open Rebel Welding & Repair which was his pride and joy in the later years of his life. Through Jerry’s expertise he was able to help many families and community businesses in the local area.

In the last few years of Jerry’s life, he was diagnosed with hemochromatosis which was extremely hard on Jerry’s health and his family. He succumbed to the disease on August 26, 2025; however, his life will live on through hemochromatosis awareness and through his work he provide to his local community.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Mischelle, New England; sons, Joe (Nicole) Rebel, New England, and Mike (Candace) Rebel, Mandan; eight grandchildren; siblings, Ken Rebel, Bismarck, Peggy (Ron) Bogner, Killdeer, Ardis (Randy) Ulmer, Dickinson, Shirley (Neal) Brentrup, Dickinson, and Bruce Rebel, New England; brother-in-law, Bill Berger, Dickinson.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Rebel; parents, Joe and Louise Rebel; in-laws, Maynard and Monica Wanner; sister, Ruth Berger; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rebel; and numerous aunts and uncles.
