Josephine Koppinger, 84, Dickinson, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, Minn. Josephine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Lefor. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Ron Keller presiding. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.

Josephine Binstock was born May 31, 1931 at Regent, the daughter of Anthony and Kathie (Jahner) Binstock. She was raised and educated in the Regent area.

Josephine married George Koppinger on September 27, 1951, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Regent. They farmed southwest of Lefor for 17 years prior to moving to Dickinson in 1968. While in Dickinson they were involved in a variety of businesses together.

She enjoyed playing cards and gardening. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, visiting and having coffee with friends. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.

Josephine is survived by her children, Bruce (Shelly) Koppinger, Twyla Weinschrott, and Julie (Brian) Alexander, all of Dickinson; seven grandchildren, Dan Weinschrott, Chad Weinschrott, Troy (Tabitha) Koppinger, Tanya Weinschrott, Tyler (Lindsey) Koppinger, Rachel Koppinger, and KeAnna Alexander; great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Ariana and Kadence; her siblings, Ceal (Nick) Paul, Kasper (Irene) Binstock, Sam (Irene) Binstock, Eddie (Lorraine) Binstock, Leonard (Kathie) Binstock, and Joe Binstock; sister-in-law, Dorrie Binstock; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George on April 18, 2003; her parents; and her siblings and spouses, Minnie (Joe) Paluck, Tony Binstock, and Ida Binstock.
