Joshua Alan Reed was born April 30, 1985, to Alan and Susan (Anderson) Reed in Winona, Minnesota.
Joshua was a 2003 graduate of Dickinson High School, after which he moved to Rochester, MN. There he developed his excellent cooking skills while working in the restaurant industry.
Joshua returned to Dickinson. He married Savannah Dowhaniuk on Sept. 13, 2014. They later divorced.
Joshua then became a valued employee in the North Dakota Bakken oil field.
Joshua had a huge heart, loved dogs and had an overwhelming love of children. There wasn’t a child he met who didn’t embrace him as a friend. He was ecstatic when his daughter, Paige, was born in Rochester on Sept. 27, 2012. She was truly the love of his life.
In spite of his many talents and big personality, Joshua struggled with his mental health, which led to his death.
Joshua is survived by his daughter, Paige Reed; his mother, Susan Reed; his father Alan Reed and his wife Colleen Moore-Reed; sister Sarah Reed (Blake Visser) and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ervin and Ruth Anderson and Vincent Reed; and his cousins Amy Becker, Steven Myhre and Kimberly Sanders.
