Joyce Greenwood, 89, Dickinson, died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. Joyce’s Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. Dick Rinearson officiating. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery. There will be an Informal Gathering of Family and Friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Ladbury Funeral Service. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8 a.m. to service time.

Joyce Henley was born April 8, 1929 at Devils Lake, the daughter of Earl C. and Ruth (Halfpenney) Henley. She was raised and educated in Devils Lake, graduating from Devils Lake High School. She went on to attend UND in Grand Forks.

Joyce was united in marriage to Lawrence E. Greenwood on November 22, 1950 at Devils Lake. They moved to Dickinson in 1952, and have made it their home since. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church, belonged to the Ruth Circle, Eastern Star, and the PEO.

She enjoyed volunteer work, playing Bridge, following Twins baseball, gardening, traveling, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her children, Dann (Deb) Greenwood, Scott (Renee) Greenwood, Todd (Janice) Greenwood, Joy Jilek, and Donn Greenwood, all of Dickinson; daughter-in-law, Linda Greenwood, Dickinson; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry on March 2, 1991; son Mark; parents; and sister Adele Youngblood.
