Juanita “Tootie” Koppinger, 61, Dickinson, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 surrounded by her family after a long battle of cancer. Tootie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Christian Smith as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Lefor. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a rosary and vigil at 6 p.m. with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.
Juanita Koppinger was born on February 28, 1960, the daughter of Margie Peters. She grew up in New England with four brothers, Jerry, John, Jeff and Jimmy and one sister, Joletta. Tootie married her high school sweetheart, Terry Koppinger on October 26, 1981. They just celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Together they raised a son, Chad Peters and then had a daughter, Christine.
Tootie was a very hard working gal. She had a number of jobs and whatever she did, she did well. Tootie enjoyed camping, fishing, and being with her family and friends. She loved being in her kitchen, if you were looking for her, just go to the kitchen. Tootie was an easy going, fun-to-be with person. She was a simple down-to-earth person who will be missed dearly.
Tootie is survived by her husband, Terry, Dickinson; son, Chad (April) Peters; grandchildren, Parker, Gavin, Abigale and Dawson; brothers, Jerry (Gina), John (Deb), Jeff, and Jimmy; sister, Joletta; and mother-in-law, Donnella Koppinger.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Koppinger on December 12, 2021; and her mother, Margaret Peters.
