Judy Anne Harrington, 65, passed away March 1, 2019 at the Richardton Health Center in Richardton, due to extended health problems. Judy’s Liturgy of Word Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Deacon Bob Zent presiding. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Richardton later this Spring. Visitation will be on Thursday from 8 a.m. to service time.

Judy was born September 2, 1953 in Rugby, the daughter of Clinton and Alice (Goldade) Rierson. When the Rierson family moved to Gladstone, Judy attended school in Gladstone and Dickinson.

Judy married Jim Harrington on May 17, 1971. They lived in several different places in North Dakota due to the jobs he had. Together they raised 3 sons: Doug, Denny, and Scott. They made their home in Dickinson, and in 2006 Jim passed away. Judy drove bus for some time for ARC and liked what she did for those in need. Judy and Jim used to take family fishing trips on weekends with the kids, and go to the races. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. She liked to play cards, do puzzles, color, play Uno and board games with grandkids and family.

Judy was a loving and caring mom, sister, grandma and great-grandma and friend to everyone she knew. She will be remembered by her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her three children, Doug (Wendy Torno), Denny, and Scott (Nikkie), all of Dickinson; four grandchildren, Keira Harrington, Tionna Harrington, Xayden Harrington, and Vaya Ferryman; great-granddaughter Willow Ferryman; two nephews, Bobby (Barbara) Rierson, Sheridan, Wyo., and Bruce Slavick, Fargo; two siblings, David Rierson, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Cynthia (Charles) Tully, Piedmont, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim; parents Clinton and Alice Rierson; grandparents; brother Gary Rierson; granddaughter Jocelyn Harrington; niece Kimberly Rierson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
