Julia F. Tuhy, 85, Dickinson, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Julia’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2012 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack as the celebrant. Interment will take place at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be rosary & Vigil at 7 p.m., Thursday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Bob Zent presiding.

Julia F. Rambousek was born October 25, 1926, on the family farm south of New Hradec, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Ridl) Rambousek. She was raised and educated in the New Hradec area.

Julia married Anton V. Tuhy on October 30, 1944, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, New Hradec. Together they farmed northwest of Dickinson.

She enjoyed gardening, dancing, visiting, and loved to cook and bake. She especially enjoyed farming side by side with her husband, Anton.

Julia is survived by her husband, Anton; their three children, Raymond (Cathy) Tuhy, Missoula, Mont., Clarence (Donna) Tuhy, Dickinson, and Darlene (Joe) Billman, Dickinson; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Rambousek, Dickinson; and one sister-in-law, Lorraine Rambousek, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; her siblings and their spouses, Mary (Adolph) Pavlicek, Emma (Ernest) Pavlicek, James (Hattie) Rambousek, and Leonard “Rocky” Rambousek.
