June M. Schwindt, 82, Medora, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. June’s funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Medora Community Center, Medora with Rev. Jerry Sevier officiating. Interment will follow at the Medora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with the family present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., to greet and visit with friends. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the community center.

June M. Cheadle was born October 13, 1927 at Fryburg, the daughter of Daniel Cheadle, Sr. and Jenny Coulson Cheadle. She was raised and educated at Fryburg, graduating from Fryburg High School in 1945.

June married George Schwindt on September 21, 1946 in Fryburg. They resided in Fryburg, Sundance, Wyo., Glendive, Mont., Baker, Mont., and Hettinger prior to settling in Medora in 1980. June enjoyed working on crafts, crocheting, woodworking, painting and sewing. She did volunteer work at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park at Medora.

June is survived by her six children, Lester Schwindt, Medora, Tim (Kathy) Schwindt, Baker, Mont., Suzanne Johnson, Dickinson, Becky Conrad, Dickinson, Margaret (Donnie) Sonsalla, Marmarth, and Darrell (Becki) Schwindt, Fernley, Nev.; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandson; sister-in-law, Peggy Cheadle, Rock Springs, Wyo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George on November 10, 1995; her parents; two brothers, Dan Cheadle, Jr., and Gordon Cheadle; two sisters, Gladys Evasuik and Kathryn Cheadle; and an infant great-grandson.
