Justin T. Rummel, 19, Richardton, ND, died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at MedCenter One, Bismarck. Justin’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton with Fr. Boniface Muggli, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday at the church and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. There will be a rosary and vigil at 8 p.m., Wednesday at the church.

Justin Thomas Rummel was born October 2, 1988 in Dickinson the son of Jerry Rummel and Bonnie Bittner. He was raised and educated in Richardton, having attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Taylor/Richardton Elementary, along with Richardton/Taylor High School. While in school he participated in football, track and was on the first wrestling team.

Justin has lived in the Richardton area where he had worked at the Cenex Store and for a while at Hardees. During this time he also helped his dad on the family farm. In his spare time he enjoyed all kinds of hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time at the lake water skiing and riding the jet ski. When Justin was younger he was active in the Cub Scouts.

Justin is survived by his dad, Jerry (fiancée~Brenda Mertz) Rummel, Richardton; his mom, Bonnie Bittner, Hebron; four siblings, Sonja Erickson, Hettinger, Keith Rummel, Casper, WY, Lacy (Brian Kutz) Rummel, Mandan, ND, and Lindsey Rummel, Richardton; his maternal grandma, Lena Bittner, Hebron; one nephew, Jonathan Schinzel, Anoka, MN; and one niece, Danielle Erickson, Hettinger. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Lottie Rummel, and Christ Bittner; and a special aunt and uncle, Ernie and Donna May Miller.
