Justine “Jessie” Wanner, 82, Dickinson, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Justine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Tony Wanner presiding.

Justine Binstock was born on May 23, 1928 to Frank and Rose (Faiman) Binstock, on the family farm near New Hradec. She attended grade school in New Hradec and Model High in Dickinson. After high school she worked for Dr. Organ Chiropractic Clinic and then at the Dickinson Creamery.

On October 30, 1950 she married Edward J. Wanner. From 1950 to 1980 they farmed and ranched southeast of Dickinson. Edward passed away on September 12, 1980. In November, Justine moved into Dickinson. She then worked in the laundry department of St. Joseph’s Hospital. In September 2007, Justine moved into the Evergreen. She especially enjoyed the activities and socialization there. In July 2009, St. Luke’s became her new home. She was thankful for all her wonderful caregivers.

Justine belonged to St. Anne’s Auxiliary and Christian Mothers at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She loved to play cards, especially pinochle and she also liked to crochet. She was a wonderful cook and baker.

Justine is survived by her three children, Allen Wanner, Gary (Dawn) Wanner, and Karen (Alex) Hutmacher, all of Dickinson; her grandson, Brent Wanner, Dickinson; sisters, Veronica Billman, Billings, Mont., and Minnie Roller, Dickinson; sisters-in-law, Mildred Binstock, Dickinson, Martha Richardson, Texas, and Helen Haag, Dickinson; and brother-in-law, Van Stockert, Steele. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her granddaughter, Brittany Wanner; her mother and father-in-law, Frank and Audina Wanner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert (Perpetua), and Anton; infant brother, Edward; sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine (Louie) Wanner, Helen (Ralph) Roller, Rose Stockert, Anna (Tony) Bren, Joe Billman, Lawrence Roller, Ted Wanner, and Ed Haag.
