Kacy Layne Weflen, 24, Dickinson, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Spooner, Wisconsin. Private family services will be held.
Kacy L. Weflen was born March 18, 1998 in Dickinson to Sheri Messer. He was raised and educated in Dickinson and South Heart where he earned his GED and his certification in mechanics.
In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Kacy liked to watch football, especially his favorite team the Minnesota Vikings. More than anything, he loved his family especially his daughter, mom and his two siblings, Alisza and Brody.
Kacy is survived by his mother, Sheri Messer; his daughter, Skyelyn Weflen; mother of his child, Michelle Spagnotti; sister, Alisza Messer; brother, Brody Messer; maternal grandparents, James and Cindy Flohr; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his biological father, Duane Smotherman.
Kacy is preceded in death by his step-father, Tobias Messer.
