On July 17, 1998 our ray of sunshine, Kara Emily (Hibl) Fixen was born. From the beginning she faced health challenges, but never let that affect her sparkling personality. She made lots of friends and always had a smile on her face. She gave the best hugs and would be sure to let you know that she did. Even though her life on earth was cut short we were able to enjoy 26 years with her.

She attended NDSCS for Culinary Arts and while there she met Steven. They were a perfect match and were married, September 3, 2022. She enjoyed camping, archery, hunting and of course cooking. We will miss her caramel rolls and her pumpkin bars. She baked everything with love. She was working as an Administrative Assistant at Fisher Industries – a job that gave her the opportunity to touch more lives with her friendship and smile.

She is survived by her husband, Steven; parents, Loran and Alida Hibl; sister, Kelsey (Eric) Holmgren, Freya and Oskar; in-laws, Eugene and Carol Fixen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, Ashley (Kevin) Harding, Genevia, and Skylar, and Amber (Jeremy) Durham, Makenzie and Mason; grandmothers, Daphne Hibl and Linda Heinle; aunts and uncles, Leonard H. (Godfather) and Denelle Hibl, Kim (Godmother) and Gregg Nelson, Terry and Irene Heinle, Chad and Tisha Heinle; cousins, Garrett (Darcy) Hibl, Austin (Paige) Hibl, Nolan, Caleb, and Claire Nelson, Lexie and Jordyn Heinle and Carolyn Schugel.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Leonard A Hibl and Elmer Heinle.

**All monetary donations will be used to set up a scholarship fund for NDSCS Culinary Students in Memory of Kara.
