Kathleen “Kathy” Reisenauer, 80, Dickinson, died Thursday, October 29, 2020 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. Kathleen’s Liturgy of Word Service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2020 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.
Kathleen M. Gengler was born July 26, 1940, at the family home in Dickinson, the daughter of John and Esther (Hopfauf) Gengler. She was raised in Dickinson where she attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and Model High School.
Kathy was united in marriage to Peter Reisenauer on November 4, 1959 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.to this union four children were born, Tama, Susy, Pete and Paris. Following the untimely tragic death of her husband she raised her children on her own. She was fortunate for the past 35 years, to have in her life the companionship of Cliff Grad, whom she shared her life with.
She worked at various jobs, such as the garden center, Frankies, and had even spent a summer on a road crew.
Kathy loved dancing, growing flowers, cooking, and listening to music. Throughout her life she has touched many lives.
Kathy is survived by her companion and friend, Cliff Grad; her four children, Tama (Randy Melchior) Reisenauer, Bismarck, Susy Reisenauer, Bakersfield, Calif., Pete (Tammy) Reisenauer, Bakersfield, and Paris Reisenauer, Dickinson; grandchildren, Berlyne (fiance-Steven Nikolaus) Reisenauer, and Jeremy (Reanne) Reisenauer; great-grandchildren, Violet Sky and Summer Rain; her siblings, Claudia Zimmer, Sioux Falls, S.D., Paula (Roger) Cymbaluk, Williston, Ann (Van) Barker, Sioux Falls, Mark (Deb) Gengler, Albany, Ore., Esther Gengler, Dickinson, Jim (Mary) Gengler, Fort Rice, Robert Gengler, Salinas, Calif., Chad Gengler, Denver, Colo., Mel (Keith) Gengler, Sheridan, Wyo., and Belinda (Bill) Suter, Beulah; sisters-in-law, Mary Gengler and Shirley Gengler; brother-in-law, Arnie (Rita) Reisenauer; and numerous very special nieces and nephews.
