Kent R. Nicholson, 56, Dickinson, died Monday, April 26, 2010 at Dickinson. Kent’s memorial service will be at 10 am, Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Pastor Scott McKirdy officiating. Visitation will be from 8 am until service time Saturday at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Kent R. Nicholson was born November 27, 1953 at Chappell, Neb. to Kenneth and Kay (Holeman) Nicholson. Kent moved with his family to Dickinson in 1967. After graduating from Dickinson High School, Kent started a long career in the gas and oil industry, retiring in 2008. In his spare time Kent enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
Kent is survived by one son, Kristopher (Kimmy) Nicholson, Dickinson; his mother, Kay Nicholson, Dickinson; three sisters, Kathleen Mordhorst, Cheyenne, Wyo., Kerin (Jim) Bunstock, Ullyses, Neb., and Kristi Bachman, Cheyenne, Wyo.; one brother, Kendall (Marie) Nicholson, Ft. Worth, Texas; and two grandchildren, William and Kristyn Nicholson, Dickinson. Kent was preceded in death by his dad.
