Kimberly “Kim” Kay Krug, 51, Dickinson, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. Kim’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Shawn Bowman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Kimberly Kay Krug was born on February 13, 1972 in Minot to Lorene (Krug) Messer. She was raised and educated in Dickinson where she graduated in 1991. As a kid, she spent her days outside from sun up to sundown, swimming, riding bike and doing gymnastics in the yard.
Kim loved being a stay-at-home mom more than anything in the world. Mason was the light of her life and she loved telling stories about all the silly things he said and did. We will always remember her soft kind spirit along with her fireball personality. She enjoyed crafts, taking Mason to the park, spending time with family and friends and cheering for her favorite basketball team, the Golden State Warriors.
Kim is survived by her son, Mason and her loving partner, Bien Lananeo; sisters, Marilyn Kenly, Candice Washington (both of Elgin, TX), Michelle (Vern) Howard (Lewistown, MT), DeAnne Messer, Wendy Messer, Melissa (Jerrod) Warner, Jessica Messer, Sheri Messer (all of Dickinson, ND), Sue Tottingham (Stewartville, MN); brothers Clayton Hansen (Minot, ND); Darrin Hansen, Richard Hansen and Dalen Hansen (all of Rochester, MN); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Lorene and Ray Messer; biological father, Clayton Hansen; siblings, Annette Messer, Ray Messer Jr, Belinda Messer and Tobias Messer; nephews, Nathan Messer, Chandler Messer and Kacy Weflen.
