Kimberly Lynn Bettis Samson, 40, Bismarck, formerly of Richardton died Friday, January 15, 2010 as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident east of Barnesville, Minn. Kim’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Bob Simons officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to service time on Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Kimberly Bettis was born November 3, 1969 at Carlinville, Ill., the daughter of Gilbert Bettis and Mary (Cleveland) Bettis. She was raised and educated in Waverly, Ill. And Lawton, Okla. areas.

Kim loved life in general. She loved spending time with her son and her grandchildren and loved traveling with her family. Kim also enjoyed her job with Coach America Crew Transport of Bismarck.

Kim is survived by her son, Dereck Ehrmantrout, Dickinson; step-son, Shaun Samson, Dickinson; two grandchildren, Makya and Alyiah, Bismarck; their mother, Collette, Bismarck; her father, Gilbert Bettis, Jacksonville, Ill.; five brothers, Durk Bettis, David Jones, Kenneth Jones, Richard Jones and Patrick Jones all of Springfield, Ill.; three sisters, Sherry Long, Springfield, Ill.; Ashley Sweeten, Jacksonville, Ill., and Jamie Childers, Jacksonville, Ill.; Kim was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Samson, and her mother, Mary Jones.
