Lawrence C. Mosbrucker, 83, Dickinson, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Perham Health Center, Perham, Minn. Lawrence’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.
Lawrence C. Mosbrucker was born June 17, 1931 in Glen Ullin, where he grew up on the family farm with his five siblings. As an adult he moved to Williston where he met his wife Emelia Yesel. The couple was married June 25, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. After their marriage they relocated to Missoula, Mont. where he managed Henry’s Drive-In. They then relocated to Minot, in 1968 where he managed the Auto-Dine drive in. In 1974 his growing family moved to Dickinson where he co-owned Dakota Tree Service with his brother Ed Mosbrucker. Eventually he went to work for TMI in Dickinson where he worked for 25 years until his retirement.
After retirement Larry enjoyed wood working in his shop. He loved to make things for people, especially his kids and grandkids. He devoted endless hours to making Eucharistic Adoration, Holy Hours and daily prayers. He loved to play cards, scrabble and enjoyed going to coffee with his wife Emy. Larry made and repaired rosaries for families and friends. He had an unshakable devotion to God, the Catholic Faith and his wife Emy. His grandchildren were a special source of joy for him and he cherished his time with each of them.
Larry was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Legion of Mary and Rosary Makers.
Larry and Emelia have five children, Anthony (Becky) Mosbrucker, Yorktown, Va., Rosalie Mosbrucker (Jeff Klemm), Dickinson, Lana (Brad) Wanner, Dickinson, Lorene (Tim) Trumbull, New York Mills, Minnesota, and Melanie (Joseph) Williams, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and one sister, Alice Hermes, Bismarck.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Christ Mosbrucker and Johanna (Dietrich) Mosbrucker; his twin sister, Rosie Meisner; sisters, Marion Muggi and Madeline Hermes; brother, Ed Mosbrucker; infant granddaughter, Megan Mosbrucker; and infant grandson, Lorden Wanner.
