Leila Olney, 68, formerly of Dickinson, died Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Dunseith Care Center, Dunseith. A Liturgy of Word Service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Deacon Ralph Stockert presiding. Inurnment will take place later at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson.

Leila Kubas was born August 23, 1948, in Dickinson, the daughter of Laudie and Betty (Morel) Kubas. She was raised and educated in Dickinson. She was united in marriage to Frederick Olney, and while he was in the United States Air Force they lived in various locations, settling in Charleston, S.C. Leila returned to Dickinson in the early 2000’s.

Leila is survived by her sons, Dennis (Lewis Dreadin) Olney, Seattle, Wash., and Terry (Michelle) Olney, Portland, Ore.; one grandson, John Eric; two brothers, Melvin (Danette) Kubas, and Bob (Rosie) Kubas, both of Dickinson; sister-in-law, Deanna Kubas, Fargo; and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Marvin Kubas.
